The cyclone named mandous is coming all the way from the sea Bay of Bengal. The cyclone was named by United Arab Emirates (UAE).In Chennai and it's surrounding rural and many areas were receiving heavy rainfall since 24 hours. 

And it expected that the cyclone will cross Chennai in next 9 hours in the area of Tambaram Chennai. And in the coast of bay of Bengal the beaches of Chennai and it's surrounding seas are having a high tides(waves). 

The people's were restricted to go to beaches for the safety purpose and many of the newly constructed bridge for handicapped people in Marina beach Chennai has been damaged due to waves. 

The people living near the sea and cyclone affecting areas are requested to vacate their places.

The schools and colleges in chennai and around rural areas about 24 district has been declared holiday for December 9 and 10. 

People are asked to stay at home and avoid coming out unnecessary.

The bus service has stopped in chennai because of cyclone.

The heavy rainfall in chennai is continuing. In many areas people's were suffering from clogged rainwater entering into their houses. Many of the poor people who were living  in coastal areas were suffering a lot.

The official says that the speed of the cyclone has been increased to 70 km. 

And it could keep increasing until it cross the chennai and puducherry.

The homes near The coast of Chennai has been damaged to high waves. 

And by 10 December 2022 it is expected that it cross puducherry and Andhra Pradesh .

The tamilnadu government is taking many actions to safeguard people and all the Social service groups and Rescue team and especially Chennai disaster management authority is ready to rescue and safeguard people from hazards.
