why have qatar roads turned blue?

Image
why have qatar roads turned blue? this roads might look prettier than the walls of your room. but why would someone paint the road blue? well its happening in doha the capital city of qatar. the city administration of doha painted the city roads in blue in a pilot project.  brainiacs believe this will combat the effects of extreme heat.here's the science behind this: regular dark asphalt has temperature nearly 20-25 degrees celsius higher than actual simply because black attracts and radiates heat. the temperature could soar more if there are no trees on the sides. however, painting them with a cool colour like blue will help reduce the  temperature by 15-20 degrees. thereby, also increasing the service life of the coating. for now the city administration is only painting one of the central streets. here, the temperature  soars over 50 degrees celsius.doha is scheduled to host the 2022 fifa world cup. thousands will come to the city from a...
